After studying one of New Zealand's largest industries, Forestry, he discovered that pine pollen, (an overlooked by-product of pine trees) actually had thousands of years of historical use as a powerful health supplement, food and traditional medicine in Japan, Korea and China.

Using New Zealand-harvested pine pollen, Carl and the team created some prototype pine pollen products which were very highly regarded by early consumers who reported significant positive improvements in a variety of health conditions.
